Graduation Information

Congratulations on earning your degree! To mark this important accomplishment, you are invited to participate in the Undergraduate Physics and Astronomy Convocation, to be held virtually on May 15, 2021 at 1:00 p.m, directly after the University Commencement Ceremony.  We hope you and your family will join us to celebrate your noteworthy efforts and achievement of the past four years.

Time: 1:00 PM May 15, 2021 (will last approximately 20 mins)
Place: Virtual through Zoom [Link will be sent to all graduates-graduates are encouraged to invite their family & friends]
Who: Physics and Astronomy Graduates of August 2020, December 2020, and May 2021 and their family and friends

In addition to Convocation registration, it also contains exit survey questions. These questions are incredibly important in allowing the department to keep in contact with you as well as determining the placement of our graduates.

Reception
Campus and the local community can be very, very busy on this day. Restaurants are usually very busy and waits can be long. As part of the Department event, we offer a congratulatory reception of light appetizers in the KCPA's Studio Theatre following the convocation ceremony. All graduates and their families are invited to attend.

ELIGIBILITY TO PARTICIPATE

You are eligible to participate in the Department of Physics/Department of Astronomy Convocation Ceremony if you graduated since May 2020 or will complete requirements this May.

REGISTERING FOR CONVOCATION

You must register in advance to participate in the Department of Physics/Department of Astronomy Convocation Ceremony. This year's registration process is completely online. In order to complete your registration, please click on this link to provide information required for the Convocation program.
