The 2019 Astronomy Awards have been announced:

The Layla S. Ryan scholarship is awarded annually to a student who is a Junior or Senior major or minor in Astronomy with a minimum GPA of 2.75 and exhibits community service participation. This year's awardee is Lina Florez.

The Stanley Wyatt Memorial Award is presented annually to the graduating Astronomy major or minor with the most outstanding GPA and track record of undergraduate research. This year's awardee is Jingyao Zhu.

The Mr. and Mrs. Hsiang-pai and Wen-hua Chu Department Of Astronomy Excellence in Research Graduate Student Award is presented to the graduate student with the most outstanding research record. This year's awardee is Miguel Holgado.

There will be a short ceremony and reception for the winners on May 4.
