Are you an Undergraduate looking for Research Opportunities in Astrophysics for this Summer?
Do cutting-edge astrophysical research directly with astronomers at the University of Illinois and get paid doing it. IDEAS is a paid research program for undergraduates. The goal of this program is to pair undergraduate students from historically underrepresented groups in Astronomy (defined broadly, a non-exhaustive list would include students who are Black, Hispanic, Native American, and/or Women) with faculty at University of Illinois doing research in Astrophysics. We encourage all interested students to apply. Research will be done at the Astronomy Department on campus. Students will have both a faculty research mentor and a graduate student mentor. At the end of the summer program, undergraduate research students will share their results in a department- wide research showcase. ‣
