We begin the new academic year with several new and newly promoted members of our faculty:

Ed Seidel has been named Interim Vice President for Research for the University of Illinois system, pending trustee approval.  Ed will retain the title of Director of NCSA.

Jessica Evans will be a Lecturer of Astronomy this academic year.

Matt Turk will be an Assistant Professor with a joint appointment in the School of Information Sciences and with Astronomy, pending Trustee Approval.

Paul Ricker is now a Full Professor of Astronomy.
